Perimeter Clinic's primary care physicians provide patients with a broad spectrum of health care, both preventive and curative, and coordinate everything the care patients require (including referral to specialist physicians). Most health insurance plans require that you have a primary care physician, and you can find that caring physician here at Perimeter Clinic.




SCOTT C. MITCHELL, M.D. completed his undergraduate degree at Tufts University and then continued on at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, MA where he received his M.D.
Upon completion of medical school, he attended the University of Connecticut, Asylum Hill Family Practice Residency Program at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, CT. In his final year of residency he was chosen by his peers to be Chief Resident.
After finishing residency, he served as a Captain in the U.S. Army for four years at Joel Health Clinic and Womack Army Medical Center where he provided a full array of family medicine to service members, their families, and retirees.
In addition to taking care of children and adults alike, Dr. Mitchell has an interest in primary care sports medicine and has served as the team physician for numerous high school, college, and even professional sports teams.
In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, especially his 4 year old daughter Savannah. He also enjoys playing ice hockey, which he has done since he was 4 years old and still plays in multiple adult amateur hockey leagues in the Atlanta area. He also enjoys football, baseball, golf, reading, movies, and just spending some relaxing time with his friends.





ALEX E. RIKHTER, M.D. - Diplomate American Board of Internal Medicine is a primary care provider on the preferred provider list of all major insurance companies and health plans in Atlanta area and in Georgia at large. He has extensive training and expertise in Internal Medicine, Surgery, Family Practice, and Occupational Medicine. He has been practicing in Atlanta area for the last 6 years, during which he won the trust of many patients, who rely on Dr. Rikhter's medical knowledge and expertise to find the best possible medical or surgical treatment for their ailments. Dr. Rikhter is well respected by his colleagues in Atlanta's medical community. He is also on active staff at St. Joseph's Hospital Atlanta, Northside Hospital and Piedmont Clinic.
